The German has reportedly claimed he will leave Arsenal if Arsene Wenger remains in charge

Mesut Ozil will sensationally leave Arsenal if Arsene Wenger remains as manager next year, according to reports from Spain.

The German international has become a key player for the Gunners and is a mainstay in their team. However, he could be set to leave the club at the end of the season if Arsene Wenger stays on as manager.

This is reportedly due to Arsenal’s inability to mount a serious title challenge yet again. The club is 11 points behind league leaders Leicester and despite earlier this year seeming as if they could end up battling for the title, it is now becoming less and less likely that they will catch the Foxes.

Move back to Real Madrid

Ozil is reportedly desperate to win the Premier League and has claimed that if Wenger isn’t replaced as manager next season, then he will leave the club.

He has already spoken to his agent about a potential move away according to these reports and a move back to Real Madrid seems the most likely option if he was to leave England.

If Madrid end up deciding not to re-sign the 27-year old, then there are several other La Liga sides who would be willing to sign him like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

It’s shocking news that is coming from Spain and if these reports from Spain are true, then the Gunners have a tough decision on their hands – stick with Wenger or stick with Ozil?
