Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has opened up about the club’s interest in Manchester United star Angel Di Maria and has admitted that he’s a possible transfer target.
The Argentinian international has struggled to settle in England after completing a £60million move from Real Madrid last summer, and he may be leaving the Premier League sooner than expected.
The 27-year-old may be tempted to leave Old Trafford after his failed stint last season, and PSG are the likely suitors due to their financial power and the latest changes in Financial Fair Play.
UEFA revealed that regulations had been lifted allowing financially backed clubs to spend big money over the summer and the Ligue 1 champions are expected to spend big once again.
Speaking about their summer plans, Blanc commented on Di Maria and said it’s a possibility but the deal would have to be right.
“When you see the financial power of the English clubs, they are attacking everyone. Competition is very, very tough.
“Don’t forget, Manchester United paid a fortune to sign him. For us to work effectively, we have to think of other solutions. We must be proactive.”
