Pat Nevin has revealed the Italian Chelsea Boss has picked Diego Maradona.
At a pitch owners conventions last week, hosted by Pat Nevin, Antonio Conte was asked a series of questions.
One of them was who was his favourite player of all time.
And Pat Nevin has revealed the Italian’s liking for Maradona.
He said: “I did promise to ask the some questions that readers of this column [on Chelsea’s website] sent in last week.
“And I can confirm that Maradona was his favourite player – to play against and also the best.
“Zinedine Zidane got a special smile when I asked about team-mates but there were many more greats he wanted to mention.
I think it’s pretty good of Conte to still heap praise on Diego considering it was Maradona who said: “Antonio Conte leaving Italy for Chelsea is ‘shameful'”
