Manchester United could be set to announce the signing of Pedro from FC Barcelona as soon as next week, according to reports.
The winger has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few months, and it’s now reportedly close to being finalised.
The 28-year-old signed a long-term contract at the Nou Camp in June, but with signing the deal, his release clause was diminished to just £22million.
Barca officials told United that they don’t want to sell the winger, but if the release clause is activated, they will have no choice but to allow him to talk to interested clubs.
Manchester City and Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Spaniard, but it looks like United are closing in on announcing the deal.
According to reports in Spain, the deal is all-but finalised with just the small things needed to be ironed out.
