Pep Guardiola- I Didn't Join Manchester City To Win The Champions League
Anirban Sarkar

Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City can’t afford any more point loss in the remaining matches.

The defending champions defeated Cardiff City 2-0 to reclaim their top spot from Liverpool. The Sky Blues are leading the table by just one solitary point and Liverpool seem to be pretty determined as the title fight is likely to go down the wire till the last match.

City are scheduled to take on two top six opponents Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in their last six matches while Liverpool do have an easy pile of fixtures which could play a pivotal role in this title run.

City have also kept their quadruple dream alive so the pressure could also be a telling factor. But despite all the difficulties Guardiola is adamant to lift the title for the second consecutive time.

“We have the feeling that if we drop points we will not be champions.

“I don’t know what condition we are going to arrive in (against Brighton) but against Cardiff we should have scored more goals definitely, that is a little bit of regret we have.”
