Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino used just two words to express his desire to stay at German club Hoffenheim, despite growing interest from Premier League clubs.

Firmino used a joint interview with team-mate Kevin Volland, in which Volland did most of the talking, to state their wish to stay at the club.

When asked whether they had played their last game for the club, Volland replied: “This is not an issue for me. I have a contract until 2017.”

Firmino responded: “Me too.”

Firmino has been the subject of interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, with Chelsea keeping tabs on the situation. Volland had also been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Firmino, who scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga last term, told Bild: “For me it was important that Kevin remains.

“That clinched it.”
