Despite only moving to the Red Devils a year ago, Angel Di Maria looks set to leave Old Trafford, with Paris almost certainly being his next destination.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc has also added more weight to the rumours, saying that the move is close to being finalised.
“Concerning Angel Di Maria, the move is close to being finalised”, the manager said. “I am quite positive about this move”.
Speaking on future business this summer, Blanc said: “We are also expecting departures in our group, we want to renew the group”.
The Parisian club are expected to part with £46 million in order to land Di Maria, £14 million less than United spent on the winger last summer.
The 27-year-old endured a tricky first season in the Premier League, despite notching the second most assists in the league. Inconsistent performances saw him drop to the bench towards the end of the season.
This coupled with his reported troubles adapting to English life is thought to be behind his desire to leave the club.
But United manager, insists he would like the winger to stay.
“I think we still need more speed in front and also more creativity, and that is why I want Di Maria to stay.”
