Aston Villa are bracing themselves for a summer bid from Queens Park Rangers for centre back Ron Vlaar, according to The Birmingham Mail.
It is understood that Harry Redknapp is set to table a £4 million bid for Dutch defender, who impressed at this summer’s World Cup finals out in Brazil.
And Redknapp is keen to bolster his defence even further, with Rio Ferdinand close to agreeing a deal at the newly promoted Loftus Road club, following his release from Manchester United this summer.
