The contract rebel recieved an unwelcomed reception, when he stepped out with team-mates, Simon Mignolet, Daniel Sturridge, and Martin Skrtel.
Having stalled on a £100,000 a week offer, he is now a proposed target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Arsenal have been linked with a swap deal for Sterling’s England team-mate, Theo Walcott, in a £20 million deal.
