Chelsea midfielder Ramires is being lined up with a shock big-money move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning.
The 28-year-old has been somewhat of an outcast at Chelsea since Guus Hiddink took over as interim boss, last starting a game in Jose Mourinho’s final game in charge last month, at high-flying Leicester City.
China has attracted some big-name players in recent years, including former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho, former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan, ex-Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko, former Blues striker Demba Ba and ex-Everton forward Tim Cahill.
Now it seems the Brazil international could follow in their footsteps, despite interest in the former Benfica man from Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
If Chelsea decide to sell, it would come with a £7 million profit for the Blues on the £18 million they paid to bring him to Stamford Bridge in 2010.
Hiddink has preferred Nigeria international John Obi Mikel to the Brazilian, since his arrival, although Mikel himself was not long ago linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, having featured largely on the subs bench under Mourinho.
Ramires’ suitors are currently managed by former Chelsea midfielder Dan Petrescu.
