‘Paris Saint-Germain are set to outbid Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, reports suggest.
The 21-year-old is a prime summer transfer target for several of Europe’s top teams, who are all ready to swoop for the France international.
Manchester United are currently viewed as favourites to land the Real Madrid man, with Louis Van Gaal a known admirer of Varane, and is willing to pay around £30 million for his services, in order to take him to Old Trafford.
United’s Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be interested, though reports in both Spain and France suggest that PSG are leading the way.
The Ligue 1 title-holders are set to use Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s wealth to try and strike a deal with Varane, who has played second-fiddle in Madrid’s back-line this season.
