The Galacticos just recorded their 6th loss of the La Liga season last night with 0-2 showing against Real Sociedad in the Santiago Bernabeu and Florentino Perez clearly believes a change is necessary.
While the defence is still manned by Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Marcelo and Dani Carvajal – the same quartet that led the side to two consecutive Champions League victories, Madrid could use some new faces in the dressing room.
Militao has a release clause in his contract worth £42.5m and he was primarily being scouted by former United boss, Jose Mourinho. Now reports claim that scouts from the Spanish capital have been monitoring the 20-year-old centre-back and is greatly impressed with his attitude both on and off the pitch.
Militao is a regular starter for Porto and has already earned a senior call-up to the Brazil national team, making his debut in September 2018. He originally started his professional career with the Brazilian outfit, Sao Paolo and only signed a 5-year contract extension with Porto last summer.
Now the Portuguese side is persuading the youngster to agree on a new deal to increase his release clause.
