Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing Chelsea midfielder, Ramires.

The Italian boss signed the Brazilian midfielder when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge, and he is ready to be reunited with him by offering Jose Mourinho £25million for the 27-year-old.

Ramires’ first-team spot under Mourinho is now in doubt after the club re-signed Nemanja Matic, who is the number-one choice for the holding-midfielder role, and with Mourinho desperate to re-shape the squad, he may accept a formal offer of around £25m.

The Chelsea boss has made it clear that he wants to raise funds by selling players so that the club aren’t in danger of breaking the Financial Fair Play rules, which come into play as of next season, and a £25m bid may be hard to turn down.

It’s believed Ancelotti sees the Brazilian as a long-term replacement for Xavi Alonso, who is now 32.
