Brazilian’s agent has reportedly held talks with La Liga giants

Real Madrid officials have held secret talks with Philippe Coutinho’s agent, according to reports.

The Brazilian play-maker is reportedly unsettled in Merseyside after recent speculation linking him with a move to FC Barcelona, with Neymar trying to get the deal done himself.

Coutinho is worried about Liverpool‘s long-term future, and it’s reported that if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, he will quit the club.

His compatriots, Neymar and David Luiz, both believe Coutinho can do better than the Anfield outfit and both believe he will leave in the summer unless something changes in Merseyside.

With Brendan Rodgers now out the door and Jurgen Klopp seemingly replacing him, changes may come in Liverpool, but as it stands, Coutinho is considering his future.

Spanish Reports

Spanish newspaper Sport, have claimed that the 23-year-old would be happy to join Barca in the summer, but it’s reported that Madrid are the first team to make a formal move.

According to the same paper, Madrid officials have held talks with Coutinho’s agent and have discussed a potential £22million move to the Bernabeu.

Liverpool paid £8.5m for the midfielder from Inter Milan a couple of seasons ago.
