Real Madrid have reportedly revived their interest in Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling. According to reports, Los Blancos are reviewing his situation very closely but they are unlikely to launch any offer this summer.

Since his high octane transfer to Man City from Liverpool the England winger has evolved over the years. The appointment of Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium has worked wonders for him as the Spanish gaffer has given a whole new dimension to his game.

Negotiations for a new contract haven’t gone down well as the player is yet to commit his future to the club. The winger’s current contract runs till 2020 and Madrid don’t want to rush things as of now,

The Spanish giants will have their representative in the stands at Wembley where the Three Lions are scheduled to face Spain in the UEFA Nations League. An offer in January might be in the offing but it remains to be seen whether City decide to cash in on the player.

Guardiola is an avid admirer of the player and earlier insisted he wants the player to stay at the club. “There is no doubt we want Sterling. He knows that and his agent knows that. We made it clear from the day I arrived.

“But deals are deals, agents are agents and players are players, so I don’t know what is going to happen.

“But I assure you that the club, myself, the sporting director and all his team-mates want him to stay longer.”
