Roma president James Pallotta has dismissed rumours that Kevin Strootman and Miralem Pjanic are set to leave the Serie A club.
Midfielder Strootman has been a long-time target for Manchester United and a £32m bid, while Pjanic is being linked with a move to Liverpool for £23m.
Pallotta said: “Kevin’s come out and addressed it, saying he likes it in Italy and he has a five-year contract. And by the way, I wasn’t going to sell him anyway!
“The Liverpool thing with Pjanic is the same. We have another four years with him, and we love him.”
Strootman has also denied talk of a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.
He said: “I’ve signed up for five years, but so far I’ve only been playing for six or seven months. I want to play and help the team. That’s important to me.
“If I spoke about other clubs that would be disrespectful, and I don’t want to do that.”
He joined Roma from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in 2013, while Pjanic arrived from French side Bordeaux in 2011, with over 120 appearances for the Giallorossi.
