Spanish football expert Graham Hunter thinks Real Madrid might consider selling Cristiano Ronaldo

The prospect of the Bernabeu club selling the Portugual international is ‘feasible’, according to Hunter.

Hunter was supporting an earlier statement by journalist Guillem Balague, who claimed this season would be Ronaldo’s last at the La Liga club.

“I thought it was very kind for Florentino Perez to come out and stand up Guillem’s story,” he told Sky Sports.

“At the AGM over the last few days he genuinely refused to encourage people to think that Cristiano Ronaldo was going to finish his career at Real Madrid.

“What is being briefed around the power offices at the Bernabeu is that there was an enquiry and a bid from PSG.

“Clearly at that stage if Manchester United, who have yearned to get their major market and scoring property back for the last stage of his career, have seen that Ronaldo might be moving then they have the power to attract him to come back and relive the old times.

PSG launch huge offer for Ronaldo

Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be considering a £109.2million move for Ronaldo, after a previous bid of £87.3million was rejected.

Last season’s Ligue 1 champions are so intent on landing the 30-year-old that their proposed contract could see the deal rise to around £250million.

A major sticking point in bringing the forward to France is the interest from his former club United.

There is a general consensus around Old Trafford that if the opportunity to sign Ronaldo appears, the club should do everything in it’s power to lure him back to United.
