Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that in the future he could return to Manchester and Manchester United.

The footballing superstar left United for Real Madrid in 2009, after six successful years playing for the red side of Manchester.

It took Madrid a world-record fee of £80m to prize away Ronaldo from a club which adored the player and his passion for the Premier League.

Ronaldo was seen as a ‘God’ at United, and last year, the forward was linked with a shock return to the club after a sticky spell in Spain. But these rumours were soon put to bed as Ronaldo signed a renewed lucrative deal with Madrid.

But on the eve of United’s showdown with Madrid in America, Ronaldo has hinted of a return in the future.

“Well, of course, it was one of my favourite clubs, Manchester, everyone knows that every time when I speak about Real Madrid I should speak about Manchester United,” said Ronaldo.

“I loved it there, I was 18 years old, I won everything there, the people treat me like a god there, so I appreciate it and the future nobody knows.”
