Fiorentina boss confirms Egyptian winger will remain at Fiorentina

On-loan Chelsea winger Mohammed Salah will remain in Italy beyond his loan-spell at Serie A giants Fiorentina.

After becoming an outcast at Stamford Bridge, Salah moved to Italy in a deal which saw Cuadrado move in the opposite direction to the Premier League.

And after successive performances for Fiorentina, scoring 7 goals in 12 appearances, boss Vincenzo Montello has confirmed that the Egyptian will be at the club next season.

As part of the deal, Fiorentina can extend Salah’s loan for a further season for just £750,000, with a permanent deal worth £11.7 million pounds.

“Salah deserves credit, he is a quality player,” Montella told Sky Italia after the loanee scored in the 2-0 win over Sampdoria.

“I don’t know much details about his buy-out option, but I know that there is another year for his loan and then we will see what happens.”

“The club has to ultimately evaluate the financial issues, but the important thing is that he’s going to be here with us next year.”
