Chelsea’s Egyptian international winger Mohamad Salah will not have to partake in Military service, reports The Daily Star.

Salah feared that he may have faced a three year national service, which all males aged 18 or above have to do at somepoint in their lives.

The winger is allowed to live in England under an educational programme, which has since expired, which would have made him eligable for national service in his home land.

But following negotiations with the Egyptian FA and the Government, Salah will now be allowed to continue his career at Chelsea.

The player signed from Swiss side FC Basel in an £11 million fee, and has scored twice in six Premier League games.
