Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has revealed he hasn’t asked Arsene Wenger about a return to Arsenal this summer.
Reports emerged this morning that the Frenchman had got in contact with his former-boss to ask about a potential return to the Emirates Stadium.
However, Nasri himself took to his official Twitter account to rubbish the reports.
The midfielder tweeted: ‘Never asked anyone for a comeback so stop with those silly rumours.’
Despite sending out his tweet, Nasri quickly removed it from his page, but unfortunately for him, users of Twitter have seen the image and have also screen-printed it.
Reports that emerged this morning claimed that the 28-year-old personally phoned Wenger and asked him about a return, before the Arsenal boss informed him that there was no room in his squad for another attacking-midfielder.
