If reports are to be believed Samir Nasri is all set to don the West Ham United jersey in January.
The former Arsenal midfielder is reportedly undergoing a medical at the club and if all goes well he could be signed for a short term contract with an option to extend.
The midfielder is currently serving a ban for taking doping substances during his stay at the USA where he allegedly violated the doping code of conduct by consuming 500 millilitres of sterile water containing nutrients at a Los Angeles clinic.
He was banned from all football activities until December but can start training with a team from November. Manager Manuel Pellegrini is aware of the talent the 31 year old possess and is ready to meet his wage demand which is in the tune of £80,000 a week.
The Hammers lost Andriy Yarmolenko for the remaining part of the season for an Achilles injury and Nasri’s inclusion would be a big boost for him. The French international has had his disciplinary problems but if he is managed to stay out of it he could be a prized asset for the London giants.
The Hammers are yet to confirm something officially but an announcement could be made anytime soon.
