According to reports, Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is ready to quit the club and join Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

It’s been reported that the Spaniard has told his close friends and family that he’s ready to return to Spain, and the Champions League finalists have already revealed their interest at signing the 29-year-old.

They are reportedly willing to spend £18million on the central-midfielder, which would give The Gunners a £2m profit after they spent £16m on signing him from Malaga two seasons ago.

Despite telling close friends and family about his desire to leave, he has recently signed a long-term deal at Arsenal, but Diego Simeone’s side were interested in signing him in January, but they couldn’t put together the funds.

However, after selling Diego Costa for £32m to Chelsea, Madrid will finally have enough money to sign the midfielder, and it’s believed they will make a formal bid after the World Cup, when it’s expected that Cazorla will make his decision regarding his future.
