The midfielder is one of the hottest property in the world right now

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had garnered a reputation as one of the most talented young players on the planet by inspiring Serbia to victory at both the European Under-19 Championship, in 2013, and the Under-20 World Cup two years later. Then, after moving to Lazio in 2015, he justified the hype with a string of dynamic displays.

The midfielder  joined the Italian side from the Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2015. He has been a mainstay in the club since then and has scored 17 goals from 94 appearances for the club.

The 23 year old was a regular for the club last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting 6 in 48 appearances in all competitions and helping his team finish 5th in the league.

The Serbian is considered the biggest star of his country right now and they sacked their coach in order to ensure their star midfielder’s participation in this summer’s World Cup.

He has been heavily linked with a summer move to Juventus and Manchester United. The Red Devils have prioritized signing a holding midfielder and Jose Mourinho is particularly keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

The Serie A giants have set a €100 million price tag on the player who has been compared with Zinedine Zidane and believes they can get it too.

Former Argentina star Hernan Crespo believes that Savic would be great if he joins Premier League this summer.

“Milinkovic-Savic is a great player,” the Argentine told Goal. “He is a player that plays everywhere. He is very physical.

“If he went to the Premier League next season, he would be great. He plays very well as a physical midfielder and he gets into the box almost effortlessly.

“I think he is ready to play for any club in Europe. I don’t talk about money but he is very strong.”
