Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic reveals he would have used four substitutes in the half time if he had the chances.

Fulham hoped to take advantage of their home comfort but played out a 1-1 draw with Watford. The home side was made to pay for a sloppy start as Will Hughes’ pinpoint pass found Andre Gray who didn’t make a mistake and slotted it home past a hapless Marcus Bettinelli.

Aleksandar Mitrovic salvaged a point for the Cottagers as his strike denied Watford their fourth win in their sixth matches. The home side left the floodgate open but the Hornets couldn’t take advantage as the score remained 1-0 in the interval.

Fulham were much solid in the second half and the goal was a result of their improved performance. Jokanovic said, “I make two changes; if I’d had the opportunity I would have made four, I would do it.

“It’s not a question about one player or another player, no player was at a good enough level in the first 45 minutes.

“At the end, I tried to make some kind of support for my team and move a little bit different.

“Credit for the team, they showed a different level in the second 45 minutes and changed the story.”
