Stoke are in negotiations with Liverpool over a permanent transfer for winger Oussama Assaidi.

The Morrocan spent the entire 2013/14 season on loan, and now manager Mark Hughes is working on bringing him to the Brittania on a permanent basis. He scored 25 appearences while on-loan, scoring 5 goals. However, it is rumoured that if Hughes wants Assaidi at the club, he will have to shed out £7million.

Speaking earlier this month, Hughes said: “We are still looking. We have strengthened defensively, in midfield and up front, so the wide areas is somewhere we have to address, with letting Matty go and not knowing about Ossie.

“It’s fair to say we have to look to try to bring a bit more strength into that area.”
