Premier League side Swansea City have warned Arsenal that they will fight tooth and nail in order to keep duo Michu and Ashley Williams at the club this summer.

The Gunners have been long-term admirers of Williams and even put in a big for the Welshman back in January, but The Swans rejected their offer and told them to come back in the summer, however their £12million asking price seemed to have put Arsene Wenger off at the beginning of the summer.

However, with just over a day left in the transfer window, Wenger is desperate to sign new players and he is seriously considering a double swoop for both Michu and Williams in order to strengthen his team ahead of the new season.

It is yet understood how much Wenger is willing to pay for the two players, but the Swansea general manager Alun Cowie says the club won’t be letting Williams or Michu go easily.

‘Both are integral to our plans this season so we will be fighting tooth and nail to keep them. I haven’t heard of any offers for either of them,’ he said.
