With Alvaro Morato out with a hamstring injury, it seems Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will have to make other arrangements in attack.

Following rumours that Morata could miss seeing action for over a month, Conte is no doubt going to have to plan without his summer signing for a few games.

If  Morata does in fact miss a month of action, he could miss the games against Palace, Watford, Everton and Bournemouth, as well as two Champions League games against Roma.

So let’s take a look at how Chelsea could line up without Morata.

The three options Conte should use for Chelsea in Alvaro Morata’s absence:

  1. Michy Batshuayi

One obvious choice would be to use Batshuayi.

Batshuayi proved last season that he can score goals when given a run in the team.

He would certainly not let the Blues down if he started the games in October.

2. Eden Hazard/Pedro

Following Willian’s introduction in place of Morata, the Belgian could well once again lead the line for the Blues.

As well as playing Hazard upfront, Pedro is also more than capable of playing through the middle.

3. Cesc Fabregas

Having played as a false nine for Spain, Fabregas is clearly capable of moving further upfield if needed, over the next few games.

The Spaniard has been impressive this season and he’s certainly no stranger to helping out with some goals.

Used upfront during his time with Barcelona, Antonio Conte may decide to push the midfielder further forward.
