Thibaut Courtois has admitted he would love to see Didier Drogba return to Chelsea as a part of the coaching setup.
The Ivorian only left Stamford Bridge over the summer after agreeing a two-year deal with MLS side Montreal Impact, but after being spotted in the stands with Guus Hiddink a couple of weeks ago, speculation about his future has been high.
After watching Chelsea beat Sunderland 3-1, it was confirmed by Hiddink that the plan is to make Drogba one of his assistants in order to resurrect the club’s dismal campaign.
Since then, Montreal released a formal statement saying they have no say in the matter, despite the striker still having 12-months left on his contract.
As it stands nothing further has developed, but Courtois has admitted he’d love to see Drogba back at Stamford Bridge.
“If he comes back as a coach it will be a great addition to all the team.”
