Thierry Henry believes Chelsea are signing the ‘perfect team-mate’ in Pedro and he can’t believe Manchester United let him through their fingers.
It emerged yesterday that Louis Van Gaal had withdrawn his interest in the Barcelona star, leaving Chelsea front-runners to complete a deal with the Spaniard flying over to London in order to complete a medical.
United were in deep discussions with Barca for the previous few weeks, but they stalled at meeting his release clause worth just £22million.
However, yesterday they officially withdrew their interest and it was then reported that the 28-year-old was flying over to England to complete a medical at Chelsea.
After hearing the news, Henry couldn’t believed The Red Devils allowed the winger to join their fierce-rivals after spending weeks talking to him.
Henry played with Pedro between 2008 and 2010 and he’s labelled him as the ‘perfect team-mate.’
“The way he plays, the way he trains, he doesn’t talk, he doesn’t create any problem for you, he’s a team player who had exactly what you would love to have as a team-mate, as a player, or if you’re the boss.”
