Oh dear, oh dear…

Remember that time John Terry lifted the Champions League in his full kit despite not playing in the final? Yeah, we can’t forget about it either.

This is just one of the incredibly cringe-worthy moments that football has thrown up over the years, and we’ve put a list together of 10 of the worst.

10) David Guetta at Euro 2016

Yeah, this happened. Why was he there again? Sure he was French, but he just pushed buttons for the evening and made thousands in return.

9) Arsenal ‘winning’ the 2015/16 Premier League

After beating Leicester in February 2016, in the run-in for the title. Arsenal posted celebratory images all over social media…but then went and blew it. Leicester’s Robert Huth later said that the images inspired the Foxes to go and do the impossible.

8) Liverpool’s cream suits

Liverpool arrived at the 1996 FA Cup final at Wembley in these weird cream suits. Sir Alex Ferguson said he knew straight away that his team would win that day once he saw the clothes Liverpool were wearing.

7) Delia loses the plot

Celebrity chef Delia, also the part-owner of Norwich City, stormed onto the pitch at half time to ‘ramp up’ the Carrow Road crowd against Manchester City in 2005. But her cringe-worthy words led to a 3-2 loss.

6) Jack Wilshere’s inaccurate Tweet

In 2014, Wilshere posted this heartwarming Tweet in support of his club Arsenal. However, he failed to notice that the silhouettes on the picture were actually of the statue outside of Manchester United’s Old Trafford…

5) Alan Pardew’s dancing

Watch and cringe, ladies and gentlemen.

4) The Rivaldo Dive

The worst dive in history?

3) Pray for Gundogan

He’s not dead! Just injured! Get a grip!

2) ‘This does not slip now’

In April 2016, Liverpool were inches away from winning their first ever Premier League title. They’d beaten their closest rivals, Manchester City, and after that game, captain Steven Gerrard gave a rallying cry to his teammates, ‘We do not let this slip now!’. And boy, did they, in fact, it was Gerrard himself just a few weeks later who slipped to give away a crucial goal in their game against Chelsea, and ultimately letting the title slip from their grasp.
