World‘s Fastest Goals In Soccer History

Sometimes if you blink at the wrong time, you will miss something, and that’s certainly the case for these goals.

In football, you never know when something is going to happen. A goal, a booking, a penalty, a sending off, anything can happen at any time and on today’s SillySeason top-10, we are going to look into the fastest ever goals scored.

Now we won’t just be using the Premier League, we will be searching all over the globe to find the fastest goals and yes we may have missed some.

Top 10 Fastest Goal Ever – Of All Time In Football

But nevertheless, here are our top-10 fastest ever football goals.

10. Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur: Jesus Navas, 14 seconds

14 seconds. What can you do in 14 seconds? (No dirty minds please)

Well Jesus Navas put Manchester City 1-0 up against Tottenham Hotspur in 14 seconds at the Etihad Stadium.

Want to know what was worse? Spurs actually had kick-off! Yes Tottenham got the game underway and immediately, Hugo Lloris produced a woeful clearance straight to City who then eventually went off celebrating after Navas lobbed the French ‘keeper.

Not the start you’d want in a match.

9. Aston Villa v Coventry City: Dwight Yorke, 13 seconds

Anything Jesus Navas can do, Dwight Yorke can do quicker.

Yes in a game between Aston Villa and Coventry City, Yorke gave Villa the lead after just 13-seconds when he turned home a cross much to the delight and shock of the fans.

Yorke’s career blossomed after his Villa days as he earned a mega-money move to Manchester United.

Fair to say he didn’t score a quicker goal though.

8. Leeds United v Charlton Athletic: Mark Viduka, 11.1 seconds

Mark Viduka saw Dwight Yorke’s 13-second goal and raised it to 11 seconds.

The Australian international was one of the most clinical forwards in the Premier League during his days at Middlsbrough and Leeds United.

I don’t think I’ve managed to do anything in 11 seconds yet alone score a Premier League goal…..

7. Newcastle United v Manchester City: Alan Shearer, 10.4 seconds

Remember when Tottenham had kick-off and conceded after just 14-seconds?

Well Manchester City once had kick-off and conceded after just 10.

Alan Shearer of Newcastle United chased down the back-pass to the ‘keeper before blocking his clearance and putting the ball into the empty net.

Shearer went on to become the Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer. None were ever faster.

6.Tottenham Hotspur v Bradford City: Ledley King, 10 seconds

Sadly we couldn’t get a video of this goal, but trust us, it exists.

10-seconds into a game, Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Ledley King gave Spurs the lead against Bradford City after scoring a wonder-goal.

Not the start Bradford would have wanted, but a dream start for the North London club.

Sadly for King, his career was ruined by injuries and fitness issues.

5. Bayern Munich v Real Madrid: Roy Makaay, 10 seconds

Imagine scoring in the Champions League. Imagine scoring against Real Madrid. Imagine doing both after 10-seconds.

Another time where a team has lost the ball from possession and quickly gone on to concede a goal.

Real Madrid faced Bayern Munich in the Champions League and after losing possession, clinical striker Roy Makaay was put through on goal and he slotted past Iker Casillas.

Unbelievable scenes Jeff!

4. New York Red Bulls v Houston Dynamo: Tim Cahill, 7 seconds

Another goal we sadly couldn’t get the video for.

Tim Cahill has scored the fastest goal in MLS history when he netted for New York Red Bulls after just seven seconds.

MLS may be home for some footballing legends these days, but they’d do well to beat Cahill’s record.

3. Al-Hilal v Al Shoalah: Nawaf Al Abed, 2.4 seconds

Who wouldn’t shoot directly from kick-off?! It makes sense…..

Well it did to Nawaf Al Abed anyway who managed to score for his team after just two seconds.

Questionable goalkeeper, but to be fair, I doubt he would have expected that to happen straight from kick-off.

Great precision from Al Abed though!

2.Cowes Sport v Eastleigh: Marc Burrows, 2 seconds

Similar to number-three, it’s a random shot from kick-off that has found it’s way into the back of the net.

Classy strike, poor goalkeeping? You make the decision, but either way, it’s second on our list.

Yes, somehow someone has scored a goal quicker than two seconds.

1. Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur: Nicklas Bendtner, 1.8 seconds

LORD BENDTNER IS NUMBER-ONE!!! He have scored the fastest goal ever – of all time in Football history.

So imagine coming on as a substitute in the North London derby. Imagine you are a striker and your team has a corner. The scenes if you score from said corner.

Well that’s what Lord Bendtner did for Arsenal against Tottenham just 1.8 seconds after entering play.

Fabregas picked out the Dane who headered home to give The Gunners a 2-1 lead with 15-minutes left.

Fairy-tale stuff from the Lord!
