Top-10 Premier League Moves That Could Happen

The transfer window slams shut in under a month’s time, so teams will have to pick up the pace if they want to complete signings and get deals over the line.

We are in full on transfer mode with rumours, speculation and deals being done all across the globe, but today we are going to focus on 10 potential deals that could take place involving the Premier League.

Whether that be players joining an English club, or players leaving a club, we are going to look into 10 deals we think could happen before the window shuts.

It’s always tricky finding out what’s legit and what’s paper-talk, but here is our list of 10 transfers to look out for and 10 players we think could leave the Premier League, or arrive into it.

Starting at number-10.

NOTE: These are in no particular order

10) Baba Rahman to Chelsea

It’s been talked about a lot in recent weeks and with some reports claiming it’s basically a done deal, this is one transfer we think will happen.

Chelsea are in the market for a left-back after losing Filipe Luis to Atletico Madrid, and Baba Rahman is the reported player they have highlighted.

The full-back currently plays at Augsburg in Germany, but has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions, according to reports.

Augsburg and Chelsea are still yet to agree a transfer fee however, and that is what’s stalling the move.

However, we think this one will be completed before the window shuts.

9) Grzegorz Krychowiak to Arsenal

Now this transfer only came to light last night when reports emerged that Arsenal had highlighted him as a potential transfer target.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger sent a team of scouts to watch the UEFA Super Cup Final which Krychowiak was playing in for Sevilla.

Although he was on the losing side, Wenger‘s scouts were impressed with the midfielder’s display and that could lead to The Gunners making a formal bid.

Wenger’s men need another midfielder, especially in the defensive-mid position so the Pole will be an important capture if they can get the deal done.

Krychowiak has a release clause in his contract worth around £22million.

8) Victor Valdes to leave Manchester United

Not really sticking our neck out on the line for this one. This is a pretty obvious transfer.

However we have no idea where he will end up but we do know Victor Valdes won’t be a Manchester United player much longer.

After refusing to play for the U-21s, Valdes has fallen out with Louis van Gaal and the manager confirmed that he would be sold over the summer for not fulfilling his club responsibilities.

Not only was Valdes not given a squad number for the forthcoming season, he also didn’t receive a club suit unlike the rest of the squad.

It’s not really known where the Spaniard will end up, but it won’t be at Old Trafford that’s for sure.

7) Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester United

A very long-running transfer saga is this one.

Nicolas Otamendi was linked with Manchester United right at the beginning of the summer, until Sergio Ramos entered the picture anyway.

However, with Ramos staying at Real Madrid, United may renew their interest in the Valencia centre-back and could still sign him this summer.

Otamendi is desperate to complete the move and is ready to leave the La Liga side, but is currently waiting on United to make a decision.

Louis Van Gaal may think he has enough options at the back now that Daley Blind will be used as a defender rather than a holding-midfielder.

6) Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City

I have no idea where he will fit in Manchester City‘s team, but they want him and the deal could happen.

Kevin De Bruyne hasn’t kept it a secret that he’d like a Premier League return, following his failed stint at Chelsea, and Manchester City are ready to give him that chance.

Fees of over £40million are being discussed and it’s a deal that could be done before the window shuts.

However, after their opening win over West Bromwich Albion on Monday, they didn’t really seem to need the Belgium that much with attacking options already there at the Etihad.

5) Harry Kane to Manchester United (Javier Hernandez to go other way?)

We don’t think this one has a great chance of happening, but you never know in football.

Louis Van Gaal has discussed this mystery striker that Manchester United may sign, and an option is Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

The English scored 31 goals in all competitions last season and has been linked with a £45million move to Old Trafford this summer.

Reports emerged earlier today that United could offer a player-swap deal to Spurs with Javier Hernandez going to White Hart Lane and Kane moving in the opposite direction.

Watch this space.

4) John Stones to Chelsea

When Chelsea want something, they usually end up getting it.

So far The Blues have had two formal bids turned down for John Stones by Everton, but reports state that a third and final bid could be launched before the window slams shut.

Fees of around £30million are being discussed, and with the financial backing Chelsea have, that shouldn’t be a problem for the Premier League champions.

Stones is seen as a long-term replacement for John Terry by Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese is desperate to land the young centre-back this summer.

Will Everton fold? Time will tell, but we think they might…..

3) David De Gea to Real Madrid

It feels like Real Madrid have been after David De Gea for the past few years. It’s been going on for that long.

Madrid have made it very clear they want to sign the Spaniard goalkeeper, and after he was dropped by Louis Van Gaal for the Premier League opener on Saturday, speculation was high surrounding his future.

The La Liga giants have sold Iker Casillas and are desperate to sign De Gea, but with United playing hard-ball and wanting Sergio Ramos as part of a player-swap deal, the Spanish side may have to wait until next year to land him on a free.

Yes De Gea has just 12-months left on his current contract.

Will United cash in this summer? Or take the loss next year?

2) Karim Benzema to Arsenal

Arsenal could win the title if they sign Karim Benzema‘.

It seems to be the saying of pre-season. Will Arsenal land the Real Madrid star?!

This one will go down to deadline day and it could be a Mesut Ozil 2.0, especially following The Gunners‘ 2-0 loss to West Ham United on opening day.

Arsenal need a striker, and have done for a few years now, and with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of Benzema, this is a deal he desperately wants to complete.

So much so, he’s pressured to pay as much as £45million.

Will it happen though?!

1) Pedro to Manchester United

I don’t know about you, but I am fed up of this transfer saga.

Pedro is almost certain to leave FC Barcelona this summer despite signing a four-year deal just two months ago. Strange indeed.

The Spaniard is third choice as it stands at the Nou Camp, but could drop to fourth once Arda Turan arrives, meaning his game-time will be very limited.

Arsenal wanted him, then Liverpool wanted him, then Chelsea were certain to sign him and now he’s basically a Manchester United player.

It’s been that kind of saga, but we think it’s near completing with United almost positive to sign him in the next few days.

So there you go. There are the deals to look out for!

What do you reckon will happen from now until the deadline?
