Top 10 Premier League scorers this season

Who scored the most goals in the Premier League this season? The Premier League campaign is over for another year. Chelsea are title-winners, Manchester United are back in the Champions League, whilst Hull City, Burnley and Queens Park Rangers have all been relegated.

This season’s top-10 goalscorer in the Premier League

That basically sums up the campaign and the winners or losers, but which stars were the deadliest in front of goal during the 2014/2015 campaign? SillySeason are now about to take a look into this season’s top-10 goalscorer in the Premier League. Enjoy the list.

10. Graziano Pelle – 12 goals – Southampton FC – Premier League

What a debut season for the Italian.

Signed as an unknown player by Ronald Koeman, Pelle set the Premier League alight during the first-half of the season, helping Southampton fight for a top-four spot.

However, he couldn’t continue his goalscoring form into the second-half of the season and subsequently, The Saints’ top-four push came off the rails.

Still a superb debut season for Pelle.

9. Christian Benteke – 13 goals – Aston Villa – Premier League

After his debut season in England, this tally may be a bit underwhelming from Benteke, but considering where he was when Tim Sherwood took over, he’s done very well for himself.

11 goals in his last 11 games took the Belgium’s tally up to 13, after scoring just twice under Paul Lambert. Injuries have been an issue for the powerhouse, but his end of season form could earn him a mega-money move over the Summer.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all reportedly interested.

T6. Saido Berahino    – 14 goals – West Bromwich Albio – Premier League

What a season for the young Englishman.

14 goal for the West Bromwich Albio striker, putting him in tied six place on the Premier League top scorers list.

A stunning season for Berahino and a major breakthrough one for the starlet. His impressive season has also seen reported interest from a few bigger Premier League clubs.

T6. Olivier Giroud    – 14 goals – Arsenal – Premier League

Equaling Berahino is Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud.

14 goals for the big Frenchman, which isn’t a bad tally when you consider he was out for three months with a broken leg.

A superb middle part of the season, which saw him score in seven consecutive games, but now seven games without a goal, maybe the Frenchman has simply run out of steam.

T6. Eden Hazard    – 14 goals – Chelsea FC – Premier League

Player of the Season, Eden Hazard, also has 14 goals for the season.

A stunning campaign from the Belgium and the real driving force behind Jose Mourinho’s title-winning team. 14 goals and plenty of assists throughout the season saw Hazard scoop up individual awards at the end-of-season awards ceremony.

Consistency is key and Hazard certainly showed that throughout.

5. Alexis Sanchez – 16 goals – Arsenal – Premier League

By far the signing of the season.

Alexis Sanchez came from FC Barcelona for £32million but just didn’t need ANY time to settle.

Started on fire during the first-half of the season , and despite fading out near the end, he still managed to net 16 goals for the season in his debut year.

Who knows how far the Chilean can go after experience and time in England.

4. Charlie Austin – 18 goals – Queens Park Rangers – Premier League

18 goals but relegated. Tough on Charlie Austin.

Sadly for QPR, having the fourth highest scorer in the league wasn’t enough to keep them up. Austin’s form however has won him an England call-up from Roy Hodgson and will certainly earn him a Summer move away from Loftus Road.

Premier League clubs will be interested in the striker and he will have no plans on sticking around for Championship football next season.

3. Diego Costa – 20 goals – Chelsea FC – Premier League

If anyone was to run Alexis Sanchez close to signing of the season, it’s this guy.

Another star from La Liga who has come to the Premier League and adapted superbly.

Chelsea lacked a goalscorer last year and that’s why they didn’t win the league. However, Jose Mourinho went out in the Summer and purchased one and Costa fired them to the title with 20 goals.

Injuries near the end of the season prevented him from scoring more, but still a very respectable return for your debut season.

2. Harry Kane – 21 goals – Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League

Who would have said this at the beginning of the season? Who knew Harry Kane at the beginning of the season?

Scoring goals for fun in the Europa League, Kane was given the chance in the firs-team for the Premier League and boy did he take his chance.

21 goals for Mauricio Pochettino’s men and a PFA Young Player of the Year award as well.

Keeping Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor out of the side for the majority of the season. What a campaign for the young Englishman.

Question is, can he do it in consecutive seasons?

1. Sergio Aguero – 26 goals – Manchester City – Premier League

How wasn’t this guy named in the PFA Team of the Year?!?!?

26 goals and he was injured for a lot of the season!

Sergio Aguero on his day is the best player in the Premier League and he proved that with his clinical finishing in front of goal which helped him reach an impressive tally of 26 goals and the Golden Boot.

What a season for the Argentinian, and who knows how many goals he could get if he played a full campaign!
