5. Blackburn Rovers – 1 Premier League Title

Blackburn Rovers were the 1994/95 Premier League champions and probably the biggest shock in the history of the competition.

They won the league by just one point, finishing on 89 points, above Manchester United who finished the league with 88 points.

Players like Alan Shearer, the Top Premier League Top Scorer of All Time and the Player with Most Premier League Hat-tricks and Henning Berg, one of the players to have won the Premier League with two different clubs, helped guide Rovers to their first ever and only Premier League title.

It was that season that also saw Alan Shearer win the Premier League Golden Boot and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award with Blackburn, whilst manager Kenny Dalglish won the Premier League Manager of the Season award.

Things aren’t so rosy now however for Blackburn as they are currently in England’s second division, known as the Championship.

4. Manchester City – 2 Premier League Titles

Manchester City is another club to have won the Premier League title and so far has two titles to their name.

The first came in the 2011/12 Premier League season when they won the title by just eight goals thanks to a last-minute winner from Sergio Aguero. That campaign will go down as the best ever finale day that’s for sure. You must remember the famous commentary when Aguero lashed the ball home. AGUERROOOOOOOOOOO.

This was the first time the English Premier League had been decided on a goal difference margin. Both Manchester clubs finished the league with 89 points.

Manchester City won their second Premier League title in the 2013/14 season when they topped the table with 86 points in 38 games, this time finishing only two points above the runners-up, Liverpool Football Club.

City were left disappointed this season as they failed to retain their crown as Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea pipped them to the title.

3. Arsenal – 3 Premier League Titles

In 1997/98 season, Arsenal won their first ever Premier League title after just five seasons of it’s created back in 1992.

They won the league by a point from Manchester United, overhauling an eleven point lead in the process. The Gunners won their second title in the 2001/02 season, a season they completed as champions and having scored in every league game.

Arsenal’s third Premier League trophy was in 2003/04, a season that stands to be as their best ever.

This time Arsenal won the league without losing a single game, a record that still stands and might stay for several years. They were named “The Invincibles” for this record as no-one could beat them in the league.

Though, since that famous season, Arsenal have yet to win another league title, but have gone on to become the most successful team in FA Cup history with 12 wins.

2. Chelsea – 4 Premier League Titles

After winning this season’s Premier League title, Chelsea now comfortably sit second with the Most Premier League Trophies as they now have four to their name.

The Blues have a total of five English League titles as their first came in the mid 1950s before the league was changed to the Premier League in 1992.

Chelsea’s first Premier League trophy came in the 2004/05 season. The Blues continued to win the league the next season before manager Jose Mourinho was fired by the club wwner Roman Abramovich later in 2007.

The club then went through several managers until the 2009/10 season when Carlo Ancelotti helped the club reclaim the league, scoring 103 goals and winning the FA Cup as well to crown off a very successful campaign.

Chelsea won the fourth title last season under Jose Mourinho, who had returned at the club the previous season.

1. Manchester United – 13 Premier League Titles

Manchester United are the club that have won the most Premier League trophies as they have 13 titles to their name since the birth of the competition back in 1992.

United won the first ever Premier League title and then successfully defended the trophy the following season.

After Blackburn Rovers’ winning year, The Red Devils then won it in back-to-back seasons from 1995-1997. They then won it again in the 1998-1999 season and went on to win it three times in a row until Arsenal won it in the 2001-2002 season.

Other title-winning campaigns for United came in; 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013, with the latter coming in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last ever season as manager at Old Trafford.
