According to Newspaper Tuttosport, Serie A side Torino are keen to sign the 24-year-old in January.
Atsu made the move from Stamford Bridge to Newcastle on deadline day and is set for a season-long stint on Tyneside.
But, he’s only played four games this season starting all of them on bench, despite that, the Italians are keen to bring him to Turin.
Speaking earlier this month, Rafa Benitez praised the Ghana international:
“In training, he has been offering the things we expect from him.
“We are really pleased because he’s the kind of winger we were looking for.
“Hopefully he can give us what we are looking for.
“I am sure he will give us good games, assists and some good goals.”
