Spurs are leading the race for the 22-year-old midfield ace who has been earning rave reviews after his performances in the past two seasons. Ndombele has been marked as the midfield general Mauricio Pochettino wants to replace Mousa Dembele with.
The Belgian left for China back in January and has left a huge gap in the Tottenham squad. Plenty of reports emerged in the past week claiming that a deal had been agreed in principle and that Ndombele had even visited the club training grounds in London.
Aulos has denied all such claims and is sticking firmly to his original asking price of €65m. He told RMC Sport, “If I wait eight more days it [the asking price] will be €80m. Tottenham made a first offer at €45m and we spoke since then, but I can assure you there’s nothing done.
“We’re not in a hurry. Tanguy demonstrated his qualities in the French national team. He’s one of our best players.
“How much is he worth? I can’t say, but definitely more than €45m.”
