Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has agreed to join Premier League rivals Chelsea, according to reports in Brazil.

The holding-midfielder only joined Spurs last Summer and enjoyed a fruitful start at White Hart Lane, but since Tim Sherwood took over from Andre Villas-Boas, Paulinho’s game-time decreased and has found it tough to break back into the first team.

A sports website in Brazil broke the news earlier on today, and they are the same website that first confirmed Paulinho signing for Tottenham back in July.

The 25-year-old is reportedly ready to sign for Spurs’ London rivals and is hopeful that the deal can be done before the World Cup, and it’s thought that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the midfield-man and is also keen to wrap it up before the big competition.

Paulinho has also been monited by AS Roma and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
