Tottenham are aiming to beat London Rival Arsenal to the signing of France star Loic Remy.

The QPR striker is anchoring after a move away from the London club after a successful loan-spell at Newcastle last season.

It appeared as if Arsenal were winning the race to sign the prolific goalscorer, with Remy being spotted in the crowd at the Emirates towards the end of the season.

But now it is understood Tottenham are willing to offer Remy the first team football he wants in hope that they can secure a top four spot during next season.

Remy would cost Tottenham around £8m, and would give Spurs even more satisfaction of beating rivals Arsenal to the signature of the forward.

Soldado’s future is in doubt at White Hart Lane and new manager Pochettino believes Remy is the man to lead the line for Tottenham.
