Tottenham are ready to step up their persuit of Southampton star Jay Rodriguez and sign the attacker in January.

Spurs boss and former Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino was desperate to capture the England international during the summer, but Rodriguez has been out of action for a while due to a anterior ligament injury the player suffered last season.

But now, with Rodriguez’s fitness levels progressing well, Pochettino is keen to do buisness with his former club and snatch the player for around £20 million pounds.

With Ronald Koeman bringing in Graziano Pelle to St.Mary’s, he ready to begin talks with Tottenham and potentially allow his Englishman to leave.
