Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has been reportedly linked with a move to fierce-rivals Arsenal, but the Brazilian has moved quickly to play down the reports claiming that he is happy at White Hart Lane.

The holding-midfielder voiced his displeasure at not being in the squad for Saturday’s game against Fulham, which triggered an unhappy responce from manager Tim Sherwood, who claimed he wasn’t good enough to be in the squad.

Speaking after the Fulham victory, Sherwood said: “He can tweet what he likes. When he shows me he is good enough he will get into the team. At the moment he isn’t.”

Sandro was then part of an interview back in his homeland of Brazil, and he was asked whether or not he heard Sherwood’s comments.

“I quietly received the news… I respect him, I have nothing against him, let him speak.

“I will continue working quietly, I’m a professional. I have to work. Everyone loves me at Tottenham, it is my home.”

The Brazilian was then asked about reports linking him with a move to Arsenal, but he quickly rubbished those rumours.

He said: “I’m happy here at Tottenham. If the rival supporters want me to go to their team, I think I’m doing a good job and being recognised.

“Not only rivals, ours too. I just have to thank the fans of Tottenham, they are very dear to me. We have three games and need to work.”
