Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all want Napoli striker

Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all set to do battle for Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports.

The Argentine has decided to stall his contract talks with the Serie A club, sparking speculation that he could be considering a move away from the club.

However, his agent, who is also his brother, has already said that Higuain is fully focused on Napoli and isn’t considering leaving the club in the near-future.

Despite his agent being adamant he will stay put for the time being, that hasn’t stopped the trio of Premier League clubs showing interest in the clinical forward.

Premier League Interest

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all shown interest in the striker, with all three clubs believed to be in the market for a new striker.

The Gunners are heavily reliant on Olivier Giroud, whilst Chelsea and Liverpool rely on Diego Costa and Daniel Sturridge, but who have bad injury records.

Higuain’s current deal at Napoli expires in 2018, and after stalling contract talks with the club, the 28-year-old has sparked further speculation surrounding his future.

If one of the English teams do want to sign the striker, they will have to cough up around £77million, which is his release clause.
