It’s thought that Manchester United and PSG have both tabled big bids for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Napoli club icon Jose Alberti has confirmed that the two super clubs have lodged bids for the much coveted Argentinian forward.
“As a Napoli fan I hope Higuain remains because the Blues could win the championship with him,” Alberti said. “PSG and Manchester United have a lot of money and with the offers made by these teams we should make him a statue if it decides to stay in Naples.”
United are clearly on the hunt for a big-name striker while rivals PSG will need to replace the goals that Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to score, now that he is on his way out of Paris.
However, earlier this week it was suggested that Higuain would prefer to hook up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool if he did leave Italy.
This could end up becoming one of the on-going sagas of the summer.
