Former Chelsea boss set for early Premier League return

According to reports, Jose Mourinho has verbally agreed to become the Manchester United manager as of May 2016.

Mourinho was sacked as the Chelsea chief back in December 2015, but he is set to return to management with United allegedly prepared to offer him a three-year contract worth £60 million.

Such a deal would make him the highest paid gaffer in World football; he would even be earning more than his great rival Pep Guardiola, who will be taking the Manchester City hot seat for next season.

Manchester United’s current boss Louis van Gaal is contracted until the end of next campaign, but it is widely speculated that he will finish his tenure at the Red Devils a year early.
