Victor Valdes casts doubt over Manchester United future 1

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has expressed his desire to leave the club.

Spanish goalkeeper Valdes has been frozen out at United by manager Louis van Gaal, and a picture on Valdes’ official twitter account, posted earlier today, shows a hand with the words ‘Lo Que No Te Mata Te Hara Mas Fuerte’ scrawled on it in pen.

In English, the note says “What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger”.

The post also contains the quote: “No defraudar a los que desean volver a verme jugar, mi motivación. Lucho por ser Libre y disfrutar de mi profesión.”

Translated: “To not let down those that want to see me play again is my motivation.

“I fight to be free and to enjoy my profession.”

Valdes still blames van Gaal for blocking his route to the first-team, while the Dutchman insists Valdes refused to play in a reserves match and had not been given a squad number for this season, despite being named in the Red Devils’ Premier League squad.

A move to Besiktas fell through because personal terms could not be agreed, and Valdes has only made two appearances for United since signing as a free agent in January 2015 after his Barcelona contract expired.
