Hammers turn to Championship striker for goals

West Ham seem to be closing in on Brentford striker Scott Hogan making an improved £12.5million bid.

Hogan has been firing them in for the Bees this season, attracting the attention of West Ham, who are struggling for goals up front.

The Hammers made an initial £10million bid on Wednesday, which was rejected.

Hogan missed out with a minor glute injury as Brentford thrashed non-league Eastleigh 5-1 to book their place in the FA Cup Third Round on Saturday at Griffin Park.

Many fans of Brentford believe Hogan has already played his last game for the club.
