10. Dieter Müller – 177 Goals

Probably one of the most prolific strikers for FC Koln in the Bundesliga, Dieter Muller scored 159 goals for FC Koln in domestic competitions for the Germany side but scored 177 goals in 303 games in the Bundesliga 5 of the goals coming from the penalty spot. He also holds the record of most goals by a player in a single match which he set while playing for FC Koln when he managed to find the back of the net six times in 7-2 victory over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. During his international career he scored 9 goals for Germany in 12 appearances.

9. Klaus Allofs – 177 Goals

In eighth place of the Top 10 Goalscorers in Bundesliga History is Klaus Allofs with 177 Bundesliga goals over the course of 15 seasons in 424 games making him the eighth Goalscorers in the Bundesliga history. Most of his goals came while playing for  Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1. FC Köln he also played for Weder Bremen scoring 18 goals for the German side.

Outside Germany Klaus played for Olympic Marseille and Bordeaux in the French Ligue 1 though his goals for these two clubs won’t count as we are only counting Bundesliga goals.

8. Stefan Kuntz – 179 Goals

In sixth place is Stefan Kuntz with 179 Bundesliga goals in 449 appearances in the German Bundesliga, Kuntz also played in Turkey for Besikitas but his goals in Turkey won’t count. His 179 goals in the Bundesliga make Stefan Kuntz one of the top 10 Goalscorers in the Bundesliga of all time, despite retiring in 1999 he is still consdered as one of the greatest players to ever player in the Bundesliga.

7. Ulf Kirsten – 182 Goals

Closing in on the top five of the Top 10 Goalscorers in Bundesliga History is Ulf Kirsten, Well this player is the first player to ever reach 100 caps playing for two different national teams (East Germany/Germany). He played 350 games in the Bundesliga scoring 182 goals for Bayer Leverkusen and is ranked 5th on the list of the all time Goalscorers in the Bundesliga he was also one of the first East German players to join the Bundesliga after the Germany reunification.

6. Claudio Pizarro – 197 Goals (and counting)

A player who is not done with the scoring yet and might get a few more goals before he retires from football. Claudio Pizarro takes up ninth spot on the Top 10 Goalscorers in Bundesliga History with 192 career goals in the Bundesliga and still counting, the Peruvian is currently playing for FC Koln in the Bundesliga following his move from Werder Bremen in 2017. He is notably known for his goals for Bayern Muenchen and Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

5. Manfred Burgsmüller – 213 Goals

The retired Germany professional played mainly as a striker but could also operate as a midfielder, he scored 213 goals in 447 Bundesliga gamesin which 7 came from the penalty spot. He mainly mainly playing for Borussia Dortmund and Weder Bremenin his 17 seasons as a professional footballer, after retiring from professional he played as a kicker in American Football. His best goal record came during the 1980/81 season when he bagged in 27 goals in a single season for Weder Bremen.

4. Robert Lewandowski – 216 Goals (and counting)

Probably the best Bayern Munich and Poland player at the moment, Robert Lewandowski takes the fourth place on this list. He has featured for the two German greatest giants, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich in his career. With 2016 goals so far in 300 total Bundesliga appearances, it is likely that he will very soon manage to succeed the great Jupp Heynckes, who is the third most prolific Goalscorers in the Bundesliga history.

3. Jupp Heynckes – 220 Goals

Jupp Hynckes is well known for his time at Borussia Mönchengladbach as a player and as a manager at Bayern Munchen. Well we might know him from being a manager at Bayern Munchen but do we know that he was one of the most prolific players in the Bundesliga and one of the greatest German players of all time? well if you don’t then now you will know. Jupp Hynckes scored an incredible 220 goals in 369 matches in the Bundesliga 12 of the goals coming from the penalty spot he had a goal ration of 0.6 goals per game.

2. Klaus Fischer – 268 Goals

A player who was well known for his amazing goals his scored which were some bicycle kicks. Klaus Fischer scored 268 Bundesliga goals in 535 appearances making him the second highest Goalscorers in the Bundesliga. His 182 goals for FC Schalke is still the clubs record, he played for TSV 1860 München, FC Schalke 04, 1. FC Köln and VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga. He scored 32 goals in 45 appearances for the Germany national team.

1. Gerd Müller – 365 Goals

Finally we are down to the top dog on the list and its a player who is undoubtedly the best German footballer of all time and one of the greatest footballers of all time without any doubts.  Gerd Müller is Bundesliga’s top scorer of all time. He was well known for his clinical finishing inside the penalty which made him a prolific striker. In 1970 Muller was named the Footballer of the year after winning the golden boot at the 1970 World Cup, he scored 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games and 57 of the goals coming from the penalty spot. His Bundesliga goal ratio was 0.85 per gamer.
