10. Guilherme Siqueira
Starting the shortlist of the 10 Worst Players In La Liga Today, is the Brazilian football Guilherme Siqueira. Siqueira currently plays for Valencia, loaned from Atletico Madrid in January. Since his signing to Atletico in June 2014 for €10 million, the Brazilian’s performance did not prove him worthy of the fee paid.
Judging by the only goal he scored at Atletico shows that he was never going to be competition for the left back position against his fellow Brazilian Filipe Luis. He has now ended his contract with Atletico and is currently a free agent.
9. Iker Muniain
Iker Muniain is a Spanish international who currently plays for Spanish club Athletic Bilbao. At the start of his club career with Bilbao, he was called by the media as the ‘Spanish Messi’. However, the Spaniard has been far from his previous performances and has not in good form lately.

8. Xavi Torres
Xavi Torres takes the Eighth place on the Top 10 Worst Players In La Liga Today. He is a Defender at Real Betis and the player has not been in fine form lately . He made his league debut with FC Barcelona under Pep Guardiola. The manager saw potential in him during his time in Spain but that potential did not seem to be long lived.
After leaving Barcelona Xavi Torres’s performances have not been impressive. Looking at his age the player might never be able to be as good as he was at Barcelona. Who knows maybe even with Barcelona the defender might have been hiding in other’s top flight performances.
He is now playing for Australian club Perth in the A League.

Unlike the bad turning to happy forever after, his story is the other way round. Fernando Torres was once a very young striker who played for Athletico Madrid but in the year 2007 he transferred to Liverpool were he became a world class striker very lethal in front of goal.
But the story turned sour when the Spaniard made his move to Chelsea. Ever since joining the blues, Torres never seemed to be himself and is now back in Spain with Atletico Madrid but has struggle and never seems to ever find his form.
6. Guillermo Ochoa
A goalkeeper makes it on the list and this is none other than Mexican first choice goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. Most of you probably remember him from the 2014 FIFA World cup in Brazil where he made world class saves during the campaign. The goalkeeper was named twice as Man of the Match in the tournament. Immediately after the World Cup the keeper joined Spanish club Malaga.
However, he has not seen much game time in the Spanish League with only about two appearances in almost two years.
5. Douglas Pereira dos Santos
In fifth place is Douglas Dos Santos. The Brazilian in a right-back and currently plays for Barcelona in Spain. He has not seen much game time for the Catalan club and this is is mainly due to his fellow Brazilian player Dani Alves. However, football is a game of injuries and when Dani Alves is down with injuries instead of Douglas, winger Aleix Vidal is preferred to him.
With this type of team selection it is quite clear he even doesn’t perform in training. When Barcelona bought him from Sao Paulo most people wonder what the Spanish giants saw in him and it is quite clear they still question marks. He is now on loan at Benfica.
4. Tomas Pina

3. Álvaro Arbeloa
Arbeloa might be a surprise name to most fans due his overall career but the right-back has been nothing but unreliable at right-back for the Los Blancos. Arbeloa who has clocked 33 has only seen 4 appearances in the 2015-16 season and it is with no doubt that the veteran defender should leave room to Carvajal and Danilo.
He has enjoyed a successful spell at Real Madrid and Liverpool but the defender’s second spell at Madrid has been disappointing .His contract expires in June this year and it is quite clear it will not be renewed.
2. Pedro Leon
In second place on this prestigious list is Spanish player Pedro Leon who is currently playing for La Liga side Getafe. The Spaniard has really failed to help his team in the past two seasons. The player who has such a very bright history in his career seems to be heading to football exile .
Leon reached his pick in 2010 during his stint with Real Madrid . However, he did not see much game with the Los Blancos and is clear Madrid is a huge club and he wouldn’t get much game time but even with Getafe he has failed to impress.

Enrique Sola who has been loaned out by Athletic Bilbao to second division club Middlesborough in England is running towards the end of his career. It is easy to see how the player has been in poor form lately only managing to score five goals in the past two and a half years for Bilbao.
Kike will not be heard from soon and most of the football fans will agree with this as he has been miserable lately. The Spaniard who is still with the English side Middlesborough on loan will probably be released by Athletic Bilbao.
