Some of Europe’s biggest clubs facing transfer bans

FIFA are set to flex their power and hit some of Europe’s biggest clubs with transfer bans, according to reports in Spain.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are thought to be facing a punishment, and it might not end there, claim AS.

La Liga giants Barcelona are nearing the end of their two-year ban for breaking rules in the signing of players under 18 – and it’s been suggested that English clubs were guilty of the same practice.

If the two London clubs are sanctioned, then like Barcelona were, they may not be able to take their case to the Court of Arbitration in Sport. Barcelona tried to set their case through them, but were denied.

Real Madrid were banned for two transfer windows in July by FIFA, but the sanctions have not been imposed yet.
