The Liverpool midfielder, Jordan Henderson, has emerged as a surprise transfer target for French table-toppers, Paris St-Germain.
An Anfield departure for Henderson would seem somewhat unlikely, though the Parisians are keen to sign a long-term replacement for veteran Thiago Motta, who turns 34-years-old.
Motta has played 150 times for the Ligue One holders during a prolonged career in the French capital, and despite having another full-term left in him, PSG are drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements.
Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busquets, is also a proposed target for the club, despite the Spaniard also wanted by Manchester City.
Nemanja Matic, alongside Henderson, are also possible reinforcements.
Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to agreeing a new deal at the Parc des Princes – the 34-year-old Swede is in contact negotiations with manager, Laurent Blanc.
